How beautiful it is to survive! tells in a humorous way the adventures, misadventures and everyday situations faced by the Balor, a family of lower middle class living on the ninth floor of a building of the seventies. The head of the family is Oscar, a hospital warden who must accept that his wife Silvia works in a taxi and earns more money than he does. They complete this peculiar family Gus, the son of the couple, Marga, Oscar's mother-in-law, and Gómez, the dog.
