Tales Of Sherwood Forest

Tales of Sherwood Forest was a bit of experimental TV shown on ITV in 1989. The series is a total of seven 1-hour episodes and has never officially been released on dvd. It stars the late, great Pete Postlethwaite as a man who opens his own cafe based on Rick's Cafe Americain from Casablanca. Other stars include Jill Baker, David Troughton, and Stephen Tompkinson in one of his earliest starring roles. The series was created by Alan Plater who also supervised the overall script process as well as writing and contributing to the scripts.
