Vidago Palace

Vidago Palace

1936, the Vidago Palace, a magnificent luxury hotel in the north of Portugal, near the frontier with Spain, has just opened its new Golf Course, designed by the famous Scottish architect Philip Mackenzie Ross. In this first week of August, Portuguese, Spanish, French, British and German families enjoy their holidays at the Vidago Palace. Europe is in turmoil. Hitler hosts the Olympic Games in Berlin and is already on the path to war. Spain is already on a Civil War. In Portugal, Salazar, the dictator, creates the “Mocidade Portuguesa”, a fascist inspired organization for the Portuguese youth. This is the background for a beautiful love story full of romance, passion, hate and betrayal.
