El Corazón del Océano
The story narrates the odyssey of eighty Spanish maidens sent to Asunción by the Spanish Crown to marry and have children with the conquerors, aiming to reduce the growing racial mixing. During a six-year journey, these women will live in constant danger and will have to battle hunger, scurvy, pirate attacks, threats from indigenous people, competition with the Portuguese for control of these territories, and a 2,000-kilometer trek through the jungle on foot to reach their destination. It's an adventure led by women during the conquest of America.
