Omertà, The Code of Silence

Victim of a car bomb attack, the director of the Sûreté Nationale Organised Crime Squad launches a massive operation to eliminate the Godfather, Giuseppe Scarfo. Plunged into the heat of the action, two double agents infiltrate the mafia network and gradually go up the chain to Scarfo. The end justifies the means: wiretapping informers - even if it is not always in line with police ethics.
